New Mexico Museum of Art
Alcoves 20/20 #1 artists are Stuart Arends, Mokha Laget, Diane Marsh, Dan Namingha and Emi Ozawa.
These small alcove galleries are a tradition that date back more than 100 years to the founding of the New Mexico Museum of Art. Over these many decades, alcove based exhibitions have taken many forms. Alcoves 20/20 will consist of a series of six exhibitions featuring the work of five New Mexico based artists at a time. Artists from across the state, across media, and in all stages of their career will be featured over the course of the year as part of Alcoves 20/20. At the close of the year of exhibitions we will have featured new work by thirty artists.
The Alcove exhibitions reaffirm the Museum’s commitment to living artists and to exhibiting and championing contemporary art in New Mexico. On view August 10, 2019 - October 13, 2019. Alcoves 20/20 is supported in part by the Friends of Contemporary Art + Photography.
